Activities of Daily Living (ADL) for People with Developmental Disabilities

Our vision is to support people with developmental disabilities in developing the skills they need to live as independently and confidently as possible in their daily lives. Activities of Daily Living (ADL) are important for personal well-being, dignity, and self-determination.

We believe that every person has the ability to learn and grow when they receive the right support, patience, and encouragement. ADL support focuses on everyday tasks such as personal hygiene, dressing, preparing meals, managing personal spaces, and maintaining healthy routines.

Our approach is person-centered and respectful of each individual’s abilities, preferences, and goals. Support workers will guide and encourage individuals to practice skills step by step, allowing them to participate actively in their own care and daily routines.

Learning ADL skills also helps individuals build confidence and a sense of achievement. As people become more independent in their daily activities, they gain greater control over their lives and feel more included in their homes and communities.

Our long-term vision is to create supportive environments where people with developmental disabilities are empowered to develop life skills, maintain their independence, and live meaningful and fulfilling lives with dignity and respect.
